General information
Volunteers and active members are the backbone of the Greens in Victoria and right across Australia. In Victoria we only have a few permanent staff so our success is almost entirely achieved through the energy and expertise of hundreds volunteers, just like you.
We need volunteers from all backgrounds and from all parts of Victoria, both regional and metropolitan, to be actively involved in the Party. Our volunteers assist with tasks including campaigning, letterboxing, administration, letter-writing and fundraising.
As our needs fluctuate we can't guarantee an available position that matches your skills and interests but we will be in touch when a volunteer opportunity arises that matches your skills and availability. Complete our online volunteer form to let us know how you can assist.
The most significant volunteering opportunities are in the lead up to an election as there is more activity than ever in those vital months. Victoria will be going to the polls again next year (2012) to vote in our local government representatives and the Victorian Greens will be looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic team of volunteers. Our elected members also often require volunteers in their offices to help with campaign activities throughout the year. You may wish to contact their offices directly to ask about opportunities. You can find their details here.
You don't need to be a member of the Greens to volunteer however all of our volunteers must commit to abide by the Greens Charter at all times.

Photojournalists to cover Greens events
Do you have your own camera? Or do you enjoy writing? Do you love attending Greens events (rallies, fundraisers, meetings etc)?
We are looking for a team of enthusiastic photographers, videographers and reporters to capture our events. We need photos, videos, stories and interviews. If you can contribute one or more of these skills, we'd love to hear from you!
Your work would be used on the Victorian Greens website, Facebook page, Twitter updates, our newsletters, the MPs website and in our campaign materials.

Graphic artists to create campaign materials
We regularly need eye-catching graphics to help us promote issues and campaigns via our website, Facebook and newsletters. If you are a graphic artist and would like to help the Greens inspire people to take action on important issues, please contact comms@vic.greens.org.au
