The fight over woodchipping our native forests has gone on too long – and now we well and truly know that forests are more valuable for the water they produce and the carbon they store. Plantations have now become the mainstay of our wood products needs and the real driver in jobs growth.
We will make the immediate transition out of our native forests and into plantations while supporting timber workers along the way.
